Hear, Obey and Become

I hear a sound coming from the mountain
It’s getting louder each day.
I hear the sound coming from the mountain
And it’s says, Prepare ye the way.

Chorus

Prepare ye the way
Prepare ye the way
Prepare ye the way
Of  the Lord.

I see the King standing on the mountain
I see Him clearer each day,
I see the King standing on the mountain
And He’s says, Prepare ye the way.

Chorus

Prepare ye the way
Prepare ye the way
Prepare ye the way
Of  the Lord.

Do you hear it? It is the strong sound of the ancient shofar. It has been sounding an alarm for thousands of years. It represents the amazing Voice of the Lord. As this season of Passover continues, which will be completed fifty days from Resurrection or Firstfruits, we see the extraordinary details of Messiah’s death, burial, resurrection and ascension glory. Now is the season we celebrate the sending of the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Breath of God. As we study the covenants of God, it seems like everything points to Yeshua. Indeed, He has completely fulfilled the law of His Instruction. There has been a pressing desire from the Spirit of Revelation to set His people free by revealing the fleshly strongholds of Egypt, which means “the besieged places” of extreme captivity. This kind of lasting freedom only comes by living in the Presence of God. The blood of the Passover Lamb has made it possible to come boldly to the throne of grace to receive help in time of need. The Trump of God is sounding louder and louder, drawing us to Himself. The purpose of God is never just to bring you out of something but to bring you into His glorious liberty by bringing you unto Himself. The sound is bidding us to the Mountain of the Lord.

Revelation 4:1 says, “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, ‘Come up here and I will show you things that must take place after this.’ Immediately I was in the Spirit and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.”

God Himself has brought the children of Israel to the Mountain to enter into a covenant with Him. This was “a people” who had yet become “a people.” It is the time that God is going to make a nation out of them. It is here that they all, with one heart and in one accord have come to the mountain, for God to reveal Himself, personally and corporately. Until this time, they were simply descendants of Jacob made up of different tribes, with no purpose or government. But on this day, God desired for them to become a Holy Nation, an Assembly and most importantly, a Kingdom of Priests. This day will be known as The Day of the Assembly, (Deut. 18:15-16, Deut. 9:10, Deut. 10:4), or the Day of the Kingdom. The word for Assembly in Hebrew is kahal, the same root word for the bride. The Greek word is ecclesia which is another name for the church, the expression of God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, “the called-out ones“. It would be in Yeshua’s day that the Malchut Shamayim, “the Kingdom of Heaven,” would actually be fulfilled and come down to enter into the believer’s hearts. Yeshua was anointed and empowered to restore the Kingdom back to mankind and now this same empowering is coming forth in and on believers. Exodus 19 begins to prophesy about a last day congregation that will be empowered by God to be witnesses of the nature and authority of God.

In 1979 I was given a prophecy that said I would walk in the nature of the apostleship of John. Although that sounded foreign to me, I did receive it with much trembling but did not have much revelation concerning the life that I was called to live and the obedience to His love walk that it required until recent days. 1 John 1:1-3 has been an ongoing prayer and mandate for me, as long as I remember serving the Lord: “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of Life- the Life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare unto you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us- that we have seen and heard we declare unto you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly fellowship is with the Father and with His son Jesus Christ.” I understand over the years of studying the Festivals of the Lord, He was preparing me to live a Kingdom lifestyle and it has been glorious!

Exodus 19:4-5 says, “You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Now, therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.”

The church knows this Festival as Pentecost, but we have not realized the seriousness of this time. It is called Shavuot. This is the celebration of being brought to a face-to-face encounter with the Living God! It has been likened to the preparations of a wedding, which we will discuss in upcoming articles. Please read Exodus 19 slowly for the full impact of this revelation. Many do not understand that in the coming of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 that it was the celebration of Shavuot. Acts 2:1-4 says, “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place and suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

This Festival of the Lord is called by many names. The Hebrew name is Shavuot: The Festival of Weeks. It is also called The Day of the Assembly, The Day of the Kingdom, The Giving of the Torah: Maton Torah, The First Shofar, and The Day of the Revelation of God at Mt. Sinai. We will look at this extended journey and the different aspects of this season over the next month. There are so many wonderful truths that we will glean, and prayerfully experience, as we make our way to the Mountain of the Lord, as I will show you parallels and contrasts concerning Mt Sinai and Mt Zion. Hebrews 12:22 says, “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the Living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the church of the firstborn, who are registered in Heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”

Our goal is that you will not only experience the God of the Mountain in all of His majesty but that you will, by revelation, BECOME the Mountain of the Lord where the King reigns and His Kingdom flows, and to participate in filling the whole earth with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord.
